Northern Macedonia: The parliamentary session for the Government vote of confidence is scheduled for Thursday

The Speaker of the Assembly, Talat Xhaferi, has appointed on Thursday at 11:00 in the session in which the vote of confidence will be given to the government.

“We announce that the Assembly of the Republic of Northern Macedonia has submitted a request for a vote of confidence of the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and has been submitted by the relevant departments. The President of the Assembly, Talat Xhaferi, in accordance with Rule 215 paragraph 2 of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, will convene a meeting on the request for a vote of confidence of the Government and the meeting will be held on the third day of the request for a vote of confidence , respectively on Thursday 11 November 2021 at 11.00 Pursuant to Rule 215 (3) of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, the deadline for convening the session begins to run. the next day when the issue of trust in the Government is raised, in accordance with the advice of the President of the Assembly.

The Council adds that all steps and procedures, as before, will be communicated to media representatives through relevant services in the Assembly.

Deputies from VMRO-DPMNE, the Alliance for Albanians and the Alternative, Besa and the Left today submitted a no-confidence motion against the government. The initiative, as announced by Aleksandar Nikolovski from VMRO-DPMNE, was signed by 61 deputies.

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, had previously stated that they would wait for the resignation announced by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, but since this did not happen, an initiative for a vote of no confidence in the government was presented to the Assembly this afternoon./ ibna
