Respect for the rights of Bulgarians in the Republic of Northern Macedonia is the door to the country’s entry into the European Union, said Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.
The head of state also commented on the issue of damaged Bulgarian military cemeteries in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, in which he underlined that the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense are investigating the case.
“This has not been documented yet, but it is a systematic process of de-bulldozing, a process of reviving the destruction of our cultural and historical heritage in the Republic of Northern Macedonia. It is no coincidence that I asked this question to the Council in Ljubljana very simply. This is the prelude to the integration of the Republic of Northern Macedonia into the EU, the rights of Bulgarians, non-discrimination and their full integration into the cultural, economic, social and political life of this country. “It is extremely important that our support for their demands be recognized in the Constitution of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, solemnly proclaimed by the President, the Council of Ministers and the Parliament of the Republic of Northern Macedonia,” said Rumen Radev.
“We will certainly react, we will not allow such cases anymore,” said the head of state, according to whom the real problem in the southwestern neighbor, which has taken the road to accession, is the liberation and discrimination of people with identities. bullgar./ ibna
