Slovenia: The value of industrial production in August 2021 1.1% higher than in July 2021

The total value of industrial production, total turnover in industry and total value of shares in August 2021 were higher on a monthly basis.

“In August 2021, the total value of industrial production was 1.1% higher than in July 2021. Statistically, it was higher in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning and in production (respectively by 7.2% and 1.2%), but lower in mining and quarrying (by 10.1%), ”the State Statistics Agency said in a press release.

The value of industrial production increased on a monthly basis in the capital goods and intermediate goods industries (by 5.7% and 0.6%, respectively) and decreased in the consumer goods industries (by 1.9%).

Compared to August 2020, the total value of industrial production in August 2021 was higher by 8.4% mainly in production (by 9.8%) and in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (by 1.4%); in mining and quarrying it was lower. Compared to August 2019, the total value of industrial production in August 2021 was higher by 5.7%.

In August 2021, the total turnover in industry was higher at the monthly level by 5.5% (in production it was higher by 5.4% and in mining and quarrying by 22.4%). It grew in both non-domestic and domestic markets (by 6.0% and 3.0%, respectively).

Turnover on a monthly basis increased in the three main industrial groups, mostly in the capital goods industries (by 12.0%), followed by the intermediate goods industries (by 3.7%) and the consumer goods industries (by 0.3%). ).

Compared to August 2020, total turnover in industry in August 2021 was higher by 16.9%. In production, it was higher by 17.1% and in mining and quarrying by 3.4%.

Compared to August 2019, total turnover in industry in August 2021 was higher by 10.1%.

In August 2021, the total value of shares in industrial production was 1.5% higher than in July 2021 and 8.6% higher than in August 2020. Compared to August 2019, also, the total value of shares was higher (by 9.5 %).
