The United States expects Kosovo and Serbia to honor the commitments they made in Washington on September 4, 2020.
“We hope our partners act in good faith and will continue to live up to the commitments they made in Washington,” the US State Department told VOA in Serbia on Wednesday.
On September 4, 2020, Kosovo and Serbia signed at the White House in Washington, two documents for the normalization of relations, in the presence of former US President Donald Trump. The agreement was signed between former Kosovo Prime Minister Abdullah Hoti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
“Implementation of the Washington agreement creates a basis for future agreements and offers opportunities for wider cooperation between the parties. “The commitments they made will only benefit the citizens of Serbia and Kosovo, and we encourage them to continue to implement them,” said the US State Department.
