Bulgaria: Six parties to go to the National Assembly

With 98.93% of the votes counted by the Information Service Company, six parties appear to be on the verge of entering Bulgaria’s 45th National Assembly.

The GERB / ​​SDS coalition leads the race with 26.1%, followed by the “There is such a People” party with 17.7%, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) coalition with 15%, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) with 10.3% , Democratic Bulgaria with 9.5% and the formation “Stand Up.BG” with 4.7%.

With 3.7%, the party of former Deputy Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Defense Minister Krasimir Karakachanov failed to reach the 4% threshold to enter Parliament and was left out of the National Assembly.

47,479 people wrote on their ballots that they did not support anyone. The “Have Such a People” party collects 30.8% of the Diaspora votes followed by “Democratic Bulgaria” with 17.6%, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) with 13.2%, GERB with 8.7% and BSP with 7%

In Turkey, about 26 thousand people cast their ballots, 5 thousand less compared to the 2017 elections.

4 years ago, GERB won the elections abroad with 24.6%.

Election Commission spokeswoman Tanja Tsaneva, when asked if the deadline for the final results would be met, said: “According to the Electoral Code, the deadline is four days after election day and seven days for announcing the next MPs. We are now working on protocols. We hope to get all the protocols from all over the country today. ”
