The football team of Northern Macedonia beat Germany 2-1

The National Football Team of Northern Macedonia continues to make history, after on Wednesday it defeated Germany 2-1 away from home, for the World Cup qualifiers.

Igor Angelovski’s team, which reached the EURO final for the first time in its history last November, managed to beat Joachim Löw’s team with goals from 37-year-old star Goran Pandev in extra time in the first half. and 21-year-old Napoli veteran Elif Elmas in the 85th minute. The German team had equalized in the 63rd minute from a free kick by klkay Gündoğan of Manchester City.

The national team of Northern Macedonia in the 10th group has six points, the same as Germany, after three matches, while Armenia leads with 9 points in three matches. Romania and Iceland have three points each and Liechtenstein is last without points.

Romania lost away with a double comeback from the undefeated in the group Armenia with 3-2. The hosts opened the scoring in the 56th minute, with a shot by Eduard Spertsyan, with Alexandru Cicaldau equalizing in the 62nd minute and ten minutes later in the 72nd minute, giving Romania a 1-2 lead. However, the hosts had not said their last word, as in the 86th minute they brought the equalizer with Varazdat Haroyan and in the 89th minute to complete the comeback with a well-targeted penalty kick by Tigran Barseghyan final 3-2.

For Group 2, Greece failed to win once again and drew 1-1 with Georgia. In the 76th minute, the Greeks took the lead with an own goal by Otar Kakabadze, to equalize at 78th minute from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Kosovo lost 3-1 to Spain. In two minutes 34 and 36 the Spanish team scored two goals respectively with Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres. In the 70th minute Besar Halimi managed to put an advantage for Kosovo to make it 2-1, with Moreno scoring again for Spain in the 75th minute for a 3-1 final.

In the group ranking, Spain leads with 7 points, followed by Sweden with 6, Greece with 2, Georgia with 1 and Kosovo without points.

For the 3rd group Northern Ireland Bulgaria remained at 0-0 with the following table: Italy 9 points, Switzerland 6, Northern Ireland 1, Bulgaria 1 and Lithuania 0.

In Group 4, Bosnia and Herzegovina lost to France 0-1, by Antoine Griezmann’s goal in the 61st minute. France tops the Group with 7 points, followed by Ukraine with 3, Finland with 2, Bosnia and Herzegovina with 1 and Kazakhstan with 1 point.

For the 9th group, Albania, as expected, defeated San Marino, winning 0-2 with goals from Rey Aldo Manaj in the 63rd minute and Myrto Uzuni in the 85th minute. In the group rankings, England leads with an absolute of 9 points, followed by Hungary with 7, Albania with 6, Poland with 4 and Andorra and San Marino without points.
