President Aleksandar Vuçiërk met on Wednesday with Council of Europe Development Bank Governor Rolf Wenzel and congratulated him on improving Serbia’s co-operation with the foundation.
Wenzel was awarded the Gold Medal of Merit by Decree of the President of the Republic on March 8.
Wenzel expressed his gratitude for the award, which, as he said, he considers symbolizes his obligation to continue the good cooperation with Serbia.
“It is a great honor for me to receive this medal, thank you for your trust,” Wenzel said.
President Vuçi tha said he was grateful Wenzel was here today, adding that it was easy to decide on the award because he had done so much for Serbia.
“The Council of Europe Development Bank has contributed and participated in almost everything we have done in various sectors of society,” the Serbian president said.
“This is another obligation for you and for us. That we show even more respect for your excellent work and that you invest even more in the next period in the progress of Serbia and support our citizens. “You can not imagine how grateful we are and how much we appreciate what you are doing to support Serbia,” Vucic said.
