Greece: Mitsotakis holds videoconference with EBRD President

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a teleconference today with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) President Odile Renaud-Basso, according to government sources.

During the teleconference, Greece’s excellent cooperation with the EBRD and the importance of investments for the development of the Greek economy were emphasized, with emphasis on the creation of new and well-paid jobs.

At the same time, it was discussed the strengthening of EBRD funding specifically for the private and financial sector, as well as its contribution to the planned projects of the Recovery Fund, but also for PPPs that are in the final planning stage.

Emphasis was also placed on the energy sector and disinfestation, as well as on the further development of synergies with the Greek Development Bank at the level of financial products.

Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras, Minister of Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis, Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Giannis Tsakiris and Head of the Office of the Prime Minister Alexis Papelis attended the virtual meeting on behalf of the government.
